"Mindset" is a buzzword — but the Bible takes mindset seriously. Romans 12:2 commands believers to be "transformed by the renewal of your mind."
When applied to money, the result is what we can call a biblical money mindset: a complete reordering of how you think about earning, owning, spending, saving. Giving.
This guide walks the 10 mindset shifts Scripture commands — each rooted in specific texts, with practical application for 2026.

The Greek word: nous
Greek nous (νοῦς) — "mind, understanding, way of thinking". Appears 24 times in the New Testament. Romans 12:2 commands the renewal (anakainōsis) of the nous. It is not just changing behaviors. It is changing the underlying operating system. Money mindset is part of that.
