It is biblical to ask God for financial blessing.
Jesus taught us to pray for daily bread (Matthew 6:11).
Solomon prayed for wisdom, not wealth, and God gave him both (1 Kings 3:5-13).
Jabez asked God to bless him and enlarge his territory, and God granted his request (1 Chronicles 4:10).
Praying for financial blessing is not prosperity gospel — it is following the pattern Scripture itself models.
What makes it biblical or unbiblical is the heart, the wording, and what we plan to do with the answer.
Before you pray — the heart check James 4:3 is sobering: "You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions." Before reaching for a prayer for financial blessing, examine the request: Am I asking for blessing to consume on my desires, or to extend His kingdom? Am I asking from a place of trust in God's character, or from a place of envy comparing my life to others? Am I willing to receive "no" or "wait" as God's answer and remain content (Phil 4:11-13)? Am I prepared to steward what comes — tithing first, saving wisely, giving generously? If the answers are honest and the heart is right, pray boldly.
God is a Father who delights to give good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11). 1.

Provide what I need to feed my family, pay what I owe, and walk in faithfulness this week.
Keep me from the trap of asking for too much, lest I forget You; and from the trap of having too little, lest I dishonor Your name (Proverbs 30:8-9).
I trust You with the rest.
