Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over." 2 Corinthians 9:6 — sow generously, reap generously.
Proverbs 11:24-25 — "one gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want." Malachi 3:10 — bring the tithe and "test me in this." (See our Malachi 3:10 article .) Note: these verses promise spiritual blessing, agricultural provision, and sometimes financial return — never a guaranteed prosperity formula.
Generosity as worship Proverbs 3:9 — "honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce." Romans 12:8 — give "with generosity." 1 Timothy 6:18 — be "rich in good works, generous and ready to share." The fountain of all generosity Christian generosity is not white-knuckle obedience.
It is overflow.
The verses below explain where the overflow comes from: 2 Corinthians 8:9 — Christ "though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich." John 3:16 — "God so loved the world that he gave." Romans 8:32 — "He who did not spare his own Son… how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" James 1:17 — "every good gift… is from above." Ephesians 2:8 — salvation itself is "the gift of God." A practical week-long exercise Day 1: Memorize 2 Corinthians 9:7.

A reflection prompt Pick one verse this week.
Memorize it.
Practice it.
Generosity is not an event — it's a long obedience in the same direction.
The proof of grace is rarely loud.
It looks like a quietly open hand, week after week, year after year, until your money looks like the gospel.
